SHABBAT SHALOM
(A Peaceful Sabbath)

We are delighted to be joined by friends and family as we honor Josh on his Bar Mitzvah at Temple Isaiah. Temple Isaiah is a Reform congregation that has served the Jewish community of Howard County and surrounding areas for over thirty years. We are excited about our new synagogue building on a fabulous twenty-acre site located on Scaggsville Road (Route 216, off Route 29) in Fulton, Maryland (Outside of Columbia). Temple Isaiah is Howard County's traditional Reform Congregation, affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism.

Joshís Bar Mitzvah is a very significant and important day for us. The Bar Mitzvah service is a solemn and serious event that requires everyone to sit quietly and remain seated throughout the service to insure that the proceedings are not disrupted by conversations or unnecessary trips outside the sanctuary. Please be sure to wear proper attire at the synagogue. Women should wear a non-sleeveless dress, or blouse with a skirt. A blazer or sweater may be worn over sleeveless apparel. Men should wear a suit or pants, shirt and tie and a blazer.

You should arrive at the service around 10:15 a.m. The service and Kiddush will end around 1:00 p.m. We will be able to celebrate together at the Kiddush, after the service, and especially at the party later in the evening.

There will be a room, near the sanctuary, for small children who need some time away from the service. The room will be attended by some babysitters. There will be videotapes and other items to occupy the children. We will provide a light snack and a drink.
